We started DreadWax Lab with one simple goal: To end the epidemic of loc buildup.

Why We Exist

For years, the dreadlock community has been plagued by misinformation."Use beeswax," they said. "Don't wash your hair for 6 months," they said.

The result? Heavy, lint-filled locs that eventually rot from the inside out. We got tired of seeing beautiful crowns ruined by bad products and worse advice.

The Lab Standard

We are not influencers paid to smile and hold a jar. We are a collective of locticians and cosmetic chemists.
